Learning Goal: I’m working on a nursing writing question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.
Initial Discussion Question: Select a qualitative study from the online DSC library based on your Healthy People “objective” from a previous week. Read the study and use Lincoln and Guba’s Framework of Quality Criteria for qualitative research (pages 295-297 of your text) to address one of the areas listed below; please provide specific examples from the study.
Discuss the ONE of the following areas:
1. Credibility of the study,
2. Dependability of the study
3. Confirmability of the study
4. Transferability of the study
5. Authenticity of the study
The discussion posting should be concise, yet comprehensive, a minimum of 250 words and should evidence a thorough review of the literature by synthesizing information, but NOT describing each source in detail. In other words learn to read a journal article and paraphrase concisely what you have learned from that journal. The initial response should be based on peer reviewed scholarly journals and textbooks, not websites such as Wikipedia, Google, etc. The initial response should provide 1 APA formatted scholarly journal reference.
Question #2Purpose: To provide an opportunity for students to analyze the health issues of a community and suggest a policy to improve the health status of its citizens.
Instructions: Examine a healthcare policy, finance policy or regulatory policy from an agency. Consider the stakeholders, community support and resources available in the organization.
1. Who was the intended target population for this policy?
2. How was this policy intended to improve the quality of care for patients?
3. Is this policy improving the quality of care for the targeted population?
4. How could this policy be revised or integrated in the intended setting so that it impacts the targeted population?
5. Are there additional resource needs or stakeholder involvement?
Students are to answer all questions listed.
